... or any other HP-healing Stat food.

I am suggesting that they be disabled [even if it's only for the pvp maps like pvp_2vs2]

Why are they enabled anyway?

People just spam them to remain alive; and only a Guillotine Cross // Tarot Card spammer could outdamage a pancake-spammer. Yes, I know its hard to carry a lot of pancakes, but in pvp, it's so easy to come back to Pront and use storage.

Do you honestly find it fair for your enemy to be spamming food while he's doing a bunch of hits that take away around 40%-100% of your HP per cast?




If you're one of the guilty pancakers you'd probably ask : "Why don't you just use them, too?" or, "Why not play Guillotine, too?"


If I stock up on pancakes myself, and call out for everyone to do the same, what would pvp be like? It'd be a "who has more pancakes" contest.

If we just give in to this horrible food-spamming and play GCross ourselves, how would PvP diversity ever grow? EVERYONE would just play GX since it'd be the only one who could survive in the current situation of the server. I personally chose Rune Knight as my main character for the very reason of upholding class-balance and mixing.

But, if the server continues to allow pancakes, or any other food that the players might spam to shamelessly keep themselves alive, AbstractRO will go nowhere and you may as well shut it down here and now !

Sure the server has survived until now with these settings, but only because only NOW has it been popular to abuse the pancakes. I am not naming names.

Ideally, these would be disabled for BOTH PvP and WoE, this way Priests (once their Heal gets adjusted for a lvl 999 server) will go back in service.




I tried my best to sound super serious here. x) CAUSE ITS A SERIOUS CASE...

Very much agreed on your suggestion Fritz. The admins's are discussing on whether to reduce the Lady Lutie's Pancakes healing gauge per ea or removing it from the NPC itself.

And the undeniable fact is, Guillotine Cross classes are the ones spamming pancakes. I find Guillotine Cross classes are very much imbalanced. As 60% of the population in AbstractRO itself consists Guillotine Cross classes. Perhaps a suggestion on nerfing some of Guillontine Cross's skills will be discussed with the GM team.

Healing items are enabled in RO server's for a reason. To heal hp.
I find no reasons for Admin's of RO server's to disable the usage of Healing items during battle.
If the items aren't usable during combat, why does Gravity Co. created it in the first place?
Perhaps the healing effect of the Lady Lutie's Pancake will be reduced to an acceptable rate or, we will just get back to basic by using White Potions, like how we do in Official Server RO. Even if we do alllow White Potions to be used in PVP/WOE, the healing effects will be raised as 1 pot only does 1200hp heals which will take ages to heal a basic 3m hp character.

About the white pots, they wouldn't heal only 1200 HP since everyone's got tricked out Vit,
I do think you should give it a try, though ! It sounds a lot more controllable than the huge amounts the food heal. x)

These are true...

.....aligned with the fact that Gravity Co. never created a "Healer" NPC which people could easily access after a PvP fight.

With these facts presented,
I now say disable the Food or any healing items in the PvP areas !

Just allow me to requote.

Healer NPC's are also created by Gravity CO. It's just that they did not implement it on Official servers.
Let me briefly explain the functions of A HEALER NPC, and A WHITE POT (healing item)

A healer NPC is immovable by any means and you could only use this NPC in town. If you are engaged in combat, should you have the trouble of teleporting back to town when your HP is low? and teleport back to the combat square? Won't people will just say this to whoever that teleport's back to town when they are losing. I'm sure its quite familiar in AbstractRO by now, RUNNERS. Yes, RUNNERS resembles a very low and cheap tactic to not lose in combat.

In the other hand. In order for these RUNNERS not to "RUN" to heal during pvp, the solution would simply by using HEALING ITEMS. Let me elaborate on this yes. HEALING ITEMs are also known as PORTABLE/MOBILE items. Which you could simply heal yourself without the hassle of teleporting back to town and get back to the combat square upon healed. Its very convienient and in my oppinion there is no reason for Admins to disable the use of it. Perhaps lowering the healing rate to a certain percentage would do good. So that RUNNERS can't heal as much as they do before.

Still, the idea of removing/reducing the effect of Lady Lutie's pancakes or other healing items is being discussed by the GM Team. We hope to break the good news for our fellow AbstractRO players very soon.

Sorry to double post again !

First off, thank you GM Team for the action you've done about this issue. =)

But, sadly, I think it is not enough !

With the new Pancake weight of 90, I am still able to carry 100++ pieces without reaching 90%.

Today, in Eeyolbriggar WoE, the castle was broken by a Star Glad who was virtually immortal due to the pancakes.

This was his procedure :

1. Come in emp room
2. Attack the emp
3. Wait til red bar HP
4. Cast Berserk
5. Spam Food pots when zerk is about to end, and until after it ends to not die.
6. Wait for SP to reach at least 100 for re-zerk
7. Repeat from step 4

There was no way we could stop it. =(
Occasionally, he would die. Probably because he ran out of pancakes for that specific run.
Of course, there are many ways to beat him with probably Coma (which will be disabled by GTB soon), or sheer guild defense number (which does not exist in our population as of now.)

Given this case, soon enough, no one would defend castles anymore seeing as it is just so pointless and impossible. Everyone would just plan last minute rushes to break the Emperium with pancake-zerk Star Glads. And that is not a good WoE you can brag about in RMS.

I am still pushing for the complete disabling of the pancakes, but if that is really not possible, maybe a 5-10 second delay could be placed between pancake usage, or up the weight to 500 or more.

these are just suggestions x)

Well first of all, I would like to thank the players who appreciated what the Admin Staff did about pancakes.

Well me, myself is against pancakes being enabled at WoE atm. But lets just have more patience the server is still undergoing much changes.

Well Im not the one who decides the final decision about issues, But I get to give out opinions to the Admins.

Hopefully pancakes would be disabled at WoE. And the Heal Boost about priest jobs is one great idea I also have taught of. It should be adjust to fit SHR servers like ours.

Thanks for the continue support and Hope We all help for AbstractRO to grow. We are all open for ideas and suggestions.

These arguments are true in the fact thats how Gravity Intended their items/Npc's used. BUT! the problem with gravity and Abstract RO, is simply as put:

1. Abstract Ro is a pirate server which utilizes Custom scripts created/put together/designed by other Members of Eathena. Which means that everything is put in for a reason and should be utilized properly.

2. Theres a delay used in gravity items that provide instant healing. Gravity had the smart idea to add in a delay to their items or else specific classes ie Champion/Paladin would berry regain aLL sp/hp and backlash with Asura or Sacrifice. seeing as there isnt anyone on a paladin class in WOE or pvp that class isnt a problem. then again Champions/Sura is.

3. Gravity's armor,Boots,Mid Gear,Etc. was designed to only have 1 or no slots. in Abstract RO you have 4 slots in weapon,armor,garment,and accessories. not to mention 2 slots in boots,top headgear,mid and lower. which means instead of getting a decent build that is weak against certain things you have a build thats strong against nearly everything.

4. The PVP rooms in Abstract Ro aren't Exactly "Fixed". there's 6 PVP rooms in the PVP warper, Yet none of those rooms are used and the only pvp room people use is pvp_2vs2. I have no problem using that pvp room. Except for 1 thing. which also goes with what you said

You cant kill a Runner who can easily go @go 0. and you cant stop anyone from warping in with @warp pvp_2vs2.

5. Healing Items were intended as a means to keep you alive for a spare moment until you can recover from your own wounds or have enough time to get healed by a priest. even though ygg berries and seeds do heal you significantly, they weren't intended to be kept in mass quantities. that's thy the weight on both are 30. because they didnt allow you to literally stack up on them to keep you alive forever. unless you had enough room in your cart to pass them on to friends (aka alchemist or blacksmith).

is Laughable in all the proper ways. like i stated before. healing items weren't meant to heal you instantly. that's why they had support classes such as High Priest, Creator, Paladin and Champion (last 2 to a lesser extent). so the solution would be simple. raise the healing % in the SRC

which is located in the src/map/skill.c of your server files. or to make things a little more interesting. the Flux (Abstract RO ) Control panel. has a little Addition to it which allows you to add a timer delay to items.


Before Posting (not to insult) Remember that Gravity's Servers and Pirate servers Are completely Different. for 1 Gravity makes sure each class is balanced. Sorry to say but in Abstract Ro. The Top Classes you see in Woe or PVP are Minstrel/Wanderer, and Gx. theres like 2 Arch bishops that actually do good.
1 or 2 Ninjas,Gunslingers,Rune Knight,Sorcerer,Champion,Creator
0 Paladins,Sipers,warlock,Whitesmith, And Stalkers.

And on a side note on the Stalker Talk.
Alchemist Card is Way to OP for the Stalker class. either Raise their damage since they have half damage for both blade/sword/bow. compared to other classes that use it. this card should definitely get some kinda nerf to it considering the balance of the server.

Also Last thing. (Off Topic) Maybe some Magical class customs could be created from the already made customs? Mage classes are seriously out of the loop with maya shield, and GTB (Which is bugged atm.)

Thats My Idea and im sorry if it seemed insulting. just.. something to read ^_^.


(in other words to put it in kiddy terms *cause migz didnt understand*. Either Add a delay to Pancakes or removing them from woe would be a solution to the problem. in pvp its not a problem if the rooms worked properly and people used them.)

what i meant by fixing them was making the rooms in pvp work right. reading its a pvp not a gvg room.. making sure people cant @warp in and @go out. and also that pvp_2vs2 is entered into the pvp npc.
